Meditation brings in more awareness. Obviously, it will increase your intuition capabilities too. And this will help in organising your life better. Consistent practice may even bring in some Siddhis too. All these are the side effects of meditation.
However In meditation, we need to drop all the expectations. The purpose of meditation should not be attaining of special powers or mastery of energies. If so, we are building a golden cage around us and doing ourselves more harm than good. All these things will hamper our growth on the path.
Our goal should be nothing less than the eternal bliss, one with the divine.
